The representation of the town of  Šibenik in Meisner's work is based on Martin Rota Kolunić's example from 1570 and the one made by Georg Hoefnegel in 1576 (ref. catalogue No. 86). Meisner added in its center point a metaphorical representation of a medical doctor speaking out a baroque sentence of a neo stoical inspiration written in elegiac couplets: Scis Medicum? Medicum venerare et subitus adora: Hinc tibi propitio fato fiducia major. Which means: If you happened to know some physician. Have for him proper respect and make him a courtesy: And he will, with help of luck, assist you well in case of need.   Or paraphrased in German: Der Artzt solst gesschaffen ist, Darumb ehr ihn zu aller frift. Es kompt die Zeit du ruft ihn ahn, als dann Er dir wirt beystand than.
